What is a plug-in solar system and how does it work?

The system consists of one or two solar modules connected to an inverter. The system is connected to the electrical network via the socket. The inverter converts the electricity produced by sunlight into normal household alternating current.
The great thing about it all: Your household appliances, such as the refrigerator and washing machine, automatically use the electricity generated by the PerSolar solar system, not your public grid.

What are the components of a plug-in solar system?

The plug-in solar system consists of two solar modules connected to an inverter, which feeds the clean energy produced into the home electrical network via a cable. A connection option is the Schuko plug, which is a standard connector with which, for example, a coffee machine is also equipped. Optionally, you can measure the electricity produced with a meter, via Wi-Fi on your phone or computer.

How does electricity get from the solar panel to household items?

The solar panel module is connected directly to the home power source via the Schuko connector. The green energy then simply flows through the outlet via the existing wiring to your household items. Electricity automatically flows to where it is currently being used in the house. It doesn't matter to the wires whether the electricity is used from the public grid or fed by PerSolar's own solar panel system.

What is a Schuko plug?

The Schuko plug is the general 220V socket connector according to the EU standard.

How much does a PerSolar solar system cost and how much can I save with it?

Generally speaking, the cost of plug-in solar systems is a fraction of the cost of the large photovoltaic systems you may know from some rooftops. With a PerSolar solar system, you can save more than 800 kW per year.

For what size of households do we recommend it for?

We recommend our packages with two solar panels for medium-sized households, because if, for example, your household's electricity consumption is 150 kW per month, you can even cut your electricity bill in half thanks to the PerSolar solar panel system.
For households with high consumption, we recommend our larger packages, which contain more solar panels, so you can reduce your high energy consumption in your household even more effectively.

How long does it take to assemble a plug-in solar system?

PerSolar solar systems can be put into operation within 15 minutes.
Our package for the roof takes a little more time and expertise. But thanks to the instructions, even an average person can assemble it

Does the kit work if there is no current in your house?

No, The inverter switches off automatically in the event of a power failure.

Which electric clock is recommended for use?

PerSolar solar systems are recommended to be used with a backflow preventer or a two-way electric meter. By using the two-way electric clock, you can save more efficiently, and the investment will pay off sooner.
If you don't have a backflow preventer or a two-way electric meter, but only use a traditional electric meter, but you have a constant high consumption, you can still use PerSolar solar systems.

Does the solar panel system with a socket also produce electricity in winter?

Yes, your plug-in PerSolar solar system produces electricity in winter and in cloudy weather. Since the sun shines longer and more intensely in summer, the amount of electricity produced is significantly higher than in winter.

Will rain or frost damage the elements of the solar system?

No, solar modules and inverters are also waterproof and designed for temperatures between -40 and +85°C. The modules are therefore ideally protected against frost, rain and moisture and can be operated all year round.
